GREAT TRAINING DAY FOR NEW JUNIORS … AND THEIR PARENTS
Nearly 30 juniors plus their parents, scout leaders and teachers, from Warwickshire, Coventry, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire and Worcestershire experienced some super orienteering training at Rough Close Scout Camp organised by Andy Emmerson.
There were many club helpers without whom it would not have been possible. We look forward to seeing them at our next events especially the Schools Orienteering Championships and representing the club in the Yvette Baker Trophy heat and other competitions.

BRITISH NIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPS & CHILTERN CHALLENGE WEEKEND
A truly great weekend of orienteering was held at Hambleden, near Henley, overlooking the swollen Thames river. The pristine private woods provided some spectacular courses for the Saturday British Night Championships and the annual major fixture, the Chiltern Challenge on the next day.
The organisers, Thames Valley Orienteers, welcomed over 1000 entrants who ran through the beautiful beech trees and up and down the steep sided valleys and who were also treated to great views and occasional glimpses of hares, deer and yes, wallabies!
