Drrobers make the the short trip over to a sunny Crick for latest event

Around 40 Droobers made it over to Cracks Hill last Saturday afternoon for our latest local event. The sports club is always very welcoming and it is great to have indoor accommodation and refreshments available although, for once, it was a beautiful sunny autumn day so they were a luxury rather than a necessity. The area is developing well as the plantations are maturing and it has avoided the heavy undergrowth we often see in our areas. The mix of terrain offers something for all, from newcomers to fully experienced orienteers, and it was great to see people who were orienteering for the first time through to the old hands. Oscar Brown won the short cours, Richard Gardner took the line on the medium and Ben Windsor took the honours on the long course. Droobers next session is a range of training courses on offer at Elmdon Park on November 9th and then a Regional Event at Brandon Woods on December 8th which also doubles as our club championships. See the event calendar for further details.
