Organiser's comments:
Apologies for the delay in posting these results but I have been away.
Apologies also for getting control 139 in the wrong part of the earth bank resulting in some runners getting nettle stung. For the results I have taken off the time that was spent getting to that control.
Interestingly, quite a few runners on the long course punched the wrong control at the station, punching the control half way up the steps of the old bridge instead of under the steps of the new bridge, presumably spotting that one first.
The 2 controls that had to be replaced in the station: when I went back the next morning they had been put back! Apparently Network Rail had had them removed the previous afternoon as no permission had been granted, but the next morning had contacted the station master to say it was OK and so he had kindly put them back with cable ties.
So overall, only 2 gripples lost during the event.
