Organiser's comments:
Thanks to all 174 competitors who came along to enjoy the lovely runnable Hartshill terrain on a crisp but sunny winter day. It was registering minus 6C at 7.30am and this appeared to have an impact on some of the controls and emit brikkes. Many apologies to those it affected but thanks to Graham and the team for minimising its impact. Specific apologies to Stephen Nightingale (HOC) and Jeff Haycock (WRE) who we couldn't register a time to. Next time you are at a Droobers event you will have a free run (mention at entries).
Thanks to the myriad of helpers who made the event run smoothly, especially those out in the cold. I hope the indoor team enjoyed the warmer climes of the classroom. I hope I have not spoiled you for future events!
Many thanks go to the Planners Felix and Oliver and controller Alistair for their hard work and challenging courses. It certainly forced a few errors on my run.
A final big thanks go to the new caretaker Doug and business manager Claire at Michael Drayton School. They have been so accommodating and helpful.
It was nice and warm in the Registration Hut today so someone took off their cosy black and white hat with the white furry lining and black gloves. At the end of the Event they were left unclaimed beside Registration / Download. Please get in touch to claim them.
Thanks
Chris McCartney
