Organiser's Comments:

After a slow start, attendance picked up. In the end there were 52 entries but several of those were pairs and families with mums and dads shadowing the younger children. Total attendance was 65. The weather was fantastic.

Unfortunately, I made the yellow course a little to testing, which can be seen from the results. The finish was in view from the penultimate control and several runners went straight there, missing the final control. I have also learned today that the miniature railway line can only be crossed at designated crossing points. Unfortunately, courses were planned without this knowledge. I have apologized to the ranger and the rail operators. Future planners need to take this into account to avoid a recurrence.

Many thanks to Thelma for manning download and assisting with close down with Sue Bicknell. Thanks also to Karin for her tireless support to new members. Unfortunately, the regular troop of control collectors were not present. I therefore had a pleasant 4 hour walk around the park, eventually finishing at 5 o'clock.
