Organiser's Comments
Despite it being a very wet, muddy and gloomy evening at Kingsbury Water Park, we still had a reasonably good turn out from some very dedicated orienteer's who couldn't be deterred by the weather! We had some very positive feedback for our courses, despite the chest-high nettles in places.
Well done and thank you to all who showed up. It was nice to see so many HOC and COBOC runners – always good to keep an eye on the competition!
We would like to thank Kingsbury Water Park for allowing us to organise an event there.Special thanks go to Bruce Bryant for the map file, to Peter and Sheila Carey, John Middler, and Bob Brandon who stayed behind to help collect controls and to Sue Hallett for helping to pack up. Thanks to Karin Kirk for her usual warm welcome to newcomers; despite the miserable weather, we did manage to have a few new faces.
