Thanks to all who turned out on a hot evening in Daventry. I hope that you all enjoyed the courses which, though lacking in technical difficulty, still seemed to produce some discussion in the car park. On the long course, my intention for 6 – 7 was to make the route back along the path by the reservoir the shortest, but I didn’t know about the extra path through the rapeseed! I’ve decided not to dq anyone who went this way. Many thanks to Phil Kirk for his amazingly fast re-map of the whole area; to Liz Cross for running registration/download and typing up the results; to Karin Kirk as ever for looking after new orienteers and to Sue Hallett, Greta Greenall and Richard Gardner for collecting controls, which meant that all the kit was in Sue’s car ready for next week’s event by 8:30! Also to Freddie and Daniel for happily playing in the playground for 5 hours...
