Thanks to everyone who came along. The weather gods smiled on us, and we dodged the rain, although the going was a little "soft" in places.
Elmdon has a nice mix of woodland, open meadow and parkland, and is a good size which makes the course planning more relaxed.
For those who didn't get there (or those who want more), it is one of our most recent POCs, having opened just a few weeks ago. Fill your boots.
We had good feedback about the event, which is always gratifying. However the start location was a bit exposed, chilling both the start monitor, and queuing competitors. A lesson learnt.
As ever, these events stand and fall on the efforts of the members helping out. Thanks go to Bruce Bryant, who amongst other help, put significant effort into updating the map; Thelma and Gerry Spalton for managing download and results; Jeremy and Fiona Stopford with help throughout, and sterling control collection.
