Octavian Droobers club members travelled to Nesscliffe Army Camp, north west of Shrewsbury in Shropshire, to the annual relay event, this year organised by Wrekin Orienteers. The flat open areas with military structures and small woodland areas produced some fast times.

Four OD teams achieved 1st places and came back with trophies: the Mini Relay team of Pippa Smart, Florence Lunn, Josie Smart and Tabitha Lunn; the Junior Men’s team of Oliver Lunn, Oliver Flippance and Felix Lunn; the Open Men’s team of Alistair Powell, Alistair Gardner and Matthew Elkington; the Super Veteran Men’s team of Trevor Simpson, Gerry Spalton and Dave Marr

Taking second places were two teams: Kirsten Strain, Carolyn Marr and Anne Straube in the Open Women’s Trophy and Tony Feltbower, Barry Elkington and Stuart Heaton in the Veteran Men’s Trophy.
