Winter Social - Lutterworth

An opportunity to meet up for an informal run - with a choice of 3 MapRun courses - followed by a location for breakfast / lunch and chance for a chat...

Parking: in the Station Road car park, off Station Rd, Lutterworth LE17 4DW. It is quietest at the North end adjacent to the Finish.

Pay and Display parking: Cash or card although cash is easiest. 1 hour - £1, 2 hours - £1:50, 3 hours - £2.

Courses: Short, Medium, Long.

Short and Medium use an A4 1:4000 enlarged map. The Long uses a 1:5000 map over 2 pages of A4 (with some overlap).

Short:                Optimum distance 3.6km / 45m / 21 controls
Medium:           Optimum distance 4.7km / 55m / 28 controls
Long:                 Optimum distance 7.9km / 65m / 33 controls
All courses have a short section in an area of open land (with some contour detail) and then visit the embankment of the old Great Central Railway. Shoes with some grip are recommended..

All courses have 2 timed-out road crossings - for the results to automatically remove these legs you need to be using the latest version of MapRun (v7) rather than MapRun 6. 

Courses are available from Wed 20/03/24 (at 08:00) and will remain available until 3oth Sept 2024.

The suggested "run time" is 10:00 - 10:30. If you intend to come to the Cafe afterwards see below.

Toilets: there are no toilets in the car park. The nearest toilets are by the George Street car park (Lutterworth LE17 4EG).

Afterwards: At the E&R Tearoom. (10 High Street LE17 4AD) just over the road from control 2 on all the courses.
