Licenced Coaches

The minimum requirements to be “Licensed To Coach” are that an individual:
• must have attended and passed the UKCCL1 coaching course run by British Orienteering
• must hold a current Emergency First Aid certificate
• must have signed the British Orienteering Code of Conduct for Coaches

A coach must also hold a current Enhanced CRB certificate (or its successor) to be allowed to coach children or vulnerable adults. It is not necessary to hold an Enhanced CRB certificate to coach adult only groups when there are no special needs.
