Planner's comments.  Reasonably successful event at Stoneleigh Park, although 2 controls appeared to have been moved.  They were both still visible from the intended control site so, hopefully, it didn't spoilt the courses too much.  We were blessed with good weather and even though it did offer to rain at one point it didn't come to much.  Stoneleigh is a relatively easy area to plan in and I hope I made the best of it despite restrictions imposed by the NAC.  The transition from the open parkland to the wooded area to the NE seamed to fox a few people.  I overheard a few comments on the various route choices in and out of control 119.  3 competitors did not punch either the finish or the last control.  This may have been because they were so close to the download.  A total of 80 competitors took part, 53 adults abd 27 juniors, making this one of the best attended SEE events this season.  There was a higher number of entries on the short course than anticipated, hence 2 maps had to be recycled.  Thanks those who did submit their maps  and please let me know if you would like me to forward a copy.  Thanks to all for the positive feedback.  It is most appreciated.  A big thankyou also to Sue and Michael for the invaluable assistance with registration and download.  Thanks also to Richard, Michael and Keith Greenall for helping to collect controls.
