As a small wood with some interesting features, Everdon Stubbs is an ideal wood for newcomers as well as the more experienced. It was particularly pleasing to see a number of new faces. The courses were those planned for last year’s event, which was cancelled due to snow. This year’s snow and frost flattened much of the undergrowth, making ideal conditions. I even wondered whether I was making it too easy, putting out banners with the controls. My thanks go to all the helpers, especially Mike for the map, registration and control collection.
