| A very satisfying and enjoyable first Saturday of the season! It was a bit of a shock to find around 400 scouts | ||||||
| in the main field when we arrived, but they were happy for us to run around them so it was no problem. There | ||||||
| has been a lot of building work since the map was last updated so I hope this didn't dectract too much from | ||||||
| the enjoyment of the area. | ||||||
| There was some very close scoring throughout the field but especially at the top where Chris McCartney took | ||||||
| the win by 42 seconds from Mike Hampton. I think the 'sprint' format worked out OK and certainly prompted | ||||||
| some close racing! | ||||||
| Special thanks to Matt who helped me to plan the course, set out and brought in controls and generally held | ||||||
| it all together! Also to Jill Emmerson who ran registration and collected contols with Chris McCartney. | ||||||
