We were extremely lucky with the weather today, staying dry throughout. Elizabeth was due to plan the event but a diary clash meant I had to stand in. Having planned at Hay Wood a number of times this was no hardship! The woods continue to improve and despite high bracken in some areas (that you hopefully didn't visit) it was beautiful as it moves into its autumn colours.

Thanks to stalwart help from Chris + Matt Morris all was ready on time for registration, and Judith Guillaume did a great job of entries on the computer. More thanks are due to the control collectors, Barry + Stephen Elkington , Sue Bicknell and Chris + Matt Morris.

Thanks to you all for coming and making it a very sociable event. As well as the normal orienteering courses Peter Guillaume led an OD Junior coaching session, followed by some OD adult coaching. If you want to improve your technical orienteering why don't you contact Peter and find out when the next coaching session is.
