| Thank you all for turning out on such a pleasant evening to take the tour of Sutton Park. I found the wooded sections particularly enchanting in the evening sunlight. However, the event could not take place without some help. In particular Heather Shilliing for spreading the word at the Royal Sutton Coldfield Athletics Club, as well as getting items into the local press. On registration we have Maureen and Jim Chapman assisted by Greta Shields, Sue Hallett, John Wright and Irene Rogers. Congratulations to all who took part. It was pleasing to see former 'gates' organiser and M70+ record holder put in a good time. I assume Frank will set a M80+ record in the next couple of years. I am informed by Jane Halliday of an attempt in 2009 on the mother and son record - I'm sure this will happen. Why don't you return next June and find out. | |||||||
