Controller’s Comments

Well done to Bill, Sue and all the OD helpers for an efficient event. The beautiful autumn weather helped to make for an enjoyable run for most.

Apologies to those who went directly from 175 (middle Knoll) to 118 (fence); there was not enough on the map to show that the nettles were nasty!  Andy Hemstead.

Organiser’s Comments

As this was the first event I have organised everything went well. Although the number of available helpers was limited by other events taking place, all who helped worked so effectively and hard it made my job easy. Special thanks should go to the planner Sue Bicknell and the controller Andy Hemstead. Their experience of setting out courses, in particular of making the most of a small area, made the day worthwhile and satisfying for the competitors. Graham Urquhart and his team’s running of the computer and Emit system was smooth and flawless enabling competitors to have times recorded and results available.   Thanks should also be noted for the Coventry City council staff at Coombe Abbey for allowing the event and their pleasant support on the day.  Again I would like to thank all who helped out in any way to make this event  an enjoyable experience
