When they wanted a planner for Elmdon park, I couldn't turn down the opportunity for an area 50m for my house and it's not often you can say that you've planned on a map that you actually live on! Thank you to Frank Smith for volunteering at such short notice to be my controller and for all the help he gave me on the day. Hope you enjoyed it out there and believe me, Elmdon Park is much nicer in November than it is in August.

Controller – Frank Smith

On behalf of the event officials, I would like to thank you the competitors for coming to the event. It makes all the hard work worthwhile. My very late appointment as controller allowed very little time. This situation was eased by the preparedness of Kathryn, Graham and Liz, whom I thank. Thanks also to Andy Emmerson who helped checking the controls on the day, and of course to Janet for her support as assistant controller. Thanks also to Alan Halliday for his efficient and timely management of the printing requirements.

First of all, many thanks to both Kathy and Frank for making our job so much easier, and to all the competitors for making the effort worthwhile. With Frank taking the role of controller very late, the whole event was quite a challenge to control, but his methodical assistance helped us to get everything together for the day. The kind provision of the car parking through Solihull Borough Football Club gave us a solid assembly area, and the effort from the Droobers as a whole made the day possible. We hope it ran as smoothly from the competitors’ viewpoint - all the feedback we had on the day was positive – thank you.
