ALLESLEY PARK NIGHT SCORE 11TH FEBRUARY 2004
An unusually still and mild February evening made for good orienteering weather and attracted record numbers for a Wednesday night event. My fears of suffering an orienteering lynching at this, my first event as an organiser, did not materialise. I learnt a lot of lessons, such as reading the excellent Organisers Guidelines two months before is not much use if you then forget them on the night! Apologies for only timing to the nearest minute – more accuracy next time Richards! Thanks to Bob Brandon for holding my hand (not literally) and to Bob and Tony Garrett for helping collect the controls and the students for arriving mob handed – good to see you all.
